"Smooth Crinimal"

And so it continues... the obsession with all things Michael Jackson. From studying his hair styles in each music video- to begging me to help him figure out how to do the famous "lean" in Smooth Criminal. Every now and then he'll come up with solutions, like having me hold his shirt from the back while he leans forward, or buying some "strings"....

But yesterday came the REAL solution. I don't know how he did it, but Jack got in the internet and found the actual patented design that gave Michael anti-gravity. He showed it to me.

Method and means for creating anti-gravity illusion

A system for allowing a shoe wearer to lean forwardly beyond his center of gravity by virtue of wearing a specially designed pair of shoes which will engage with a hitch member movably projectable through a stage surface. The shoes have a specially designed heel slot which can be detachably engaged with the hitch member by simply sliding the shoe wearer's foot forward, thereby engaging with the hitch member.

So here is Jack, telling me I need to "get this." And he's right, because if you watch this video- this invention would solve a HUGE problem in Jack's performance..

CHD Awareness week

Each year, during the week of Valentine's Day it is Congenital Heart Defect Awareness week. This week not only fills me with Love, but also with gratitude. The reminder that just because my little boy is one of the luckiest ones- doesn't mean there aren't still people out there starting at the very beginning.

I'll spare all my thoughts, feelings and memories, and just share a video I borrowed from another Heart Mom's blog. Watching it brings me all the way back to the day I found out my baby may or may not make it in this world, and I am proud of all the strong mom's and dad's that support and carry their kids through the incredible journey that will last their lifetime.
