"Well that was a very nice Christmas"

Due to the fablous gift from Josh, my images will be more crisp, colorful, and accurate from now on.
Yes, I got my DLSR.
Christmas was more chaotic this year than ever before. I think it's the 5 parties we have in a row this week- 3 down, 2 to go.
Jack was pleasantly surprised Christmas morning and immediately begn opening everything in front of him (mind you, Santa doesn't wrap presents in the Trent home.) So Jack broke through to his toys quite quickly.
Josh surprised me with my camera which he lead me to believe that I wasn't getting, and also an iPod Nano. Which was totally unexpected, but much appreciated.
Josh's guitar arrived promptly on Christmas Eve, so it was here just in time for Christmas morning, he is such the Johnny Cash.
We had alot of fun, alot of food, and obviously- alot of snow.
Merry Christmas everyone-
Are you ready? a-break it down: (Gabba reference.)

Happy Birthday Baby Bum

Two years is quite the Milestone..

In all reality Jack won't be two till 11:32pm. But this time two years ago I was still laboring on my own, and had been since 1:00. I will get my epidural in an hour and be good by 6:30. Jack had quite the first year..so let's just remember the second. This was the beginning, LAST year's birthday:

Jack had a great year, we moved a few times, went to San Diego, visited friends and finally settled into our own special place here in Holladay. We celebrated his birthday last night with some friends and family. Jack was a little overwhelmed with presents and everytime he opened one he was pretty upset that it was set aside. But the distraction of a new one kept him moving.

He wasn't in the mood to listen to everyone sing, but we did anyway.
But it was a great night. Thank you everyone who came.

We love you Jack, it is a miracle you are here and we are grateful everyday. KEEP THRIVING BUDDYY!

What Happened to Steve?

Due to my discussion with Jessica about our "Steve versus Joe" conflict, I was inclined to do some research and find out what exactly DID happen to Steve.

Steve Burns auditioned for Nickelodeon thinking he'd be a voice-over. That wasn't the case, and somehow the grungy rocker made the part. For six years, he acted in front of a blue screen playing around with a blue, felt puppy.

One night, on his way to pick up a date, he saw a mailbox with a blue pawprint on it that said "You figured it out! It's Jonathan's Birthday!" So he picked up his date, changed his clothes into the fruitstripe outfit, and made a surprise appearance at Jonathan's birthday party.

Though it was a hit, he realized that he could keep doing this forever and make THAT who he was, or go do many other exciting things. So he made the decision. Now, he is a rockstar, and stupid annoying "Joe" took his place, leaving kids with someone who talks to them like they're idiots, and could possibly be eaten alive by his own eyebrows.

I feel a good sense of closure.

Sledding...

We decided with all the fun snow that we'd take Jack sledding for his first time ever. After going to three or four establishments, we finally found a sled. For some reason, all the K-Marts and Targets and Walmarts were out of sleds. The apparently didn't stock up. "Utah! The Best Snow On Earth" (hintiddy hint hint...)

So we headed to Sugarhouse Park. We actually found our own secluded place to enjoy the snow and the hills. Jack didn't do much walking.

Jack wasn't a fan of all the snow that hit his face on the way down.

After about three or four runs...it was pretty much time to go.

So we went home, and tried to warm up our little blue legs...

Better Late Than Never

So due to the difficulty of Jack's halloween costume...it was quite hard to get a picture of him with the FULL effect of the lion, because the hood was about 12 lbs and he hated it on his head...

But this will give you the gist of it.

"Puppy!"

Big Dog, Little Boy.

This is "Enzo" my sister-in-law's Great Dane.

He is huge. Standing up...he is taller than josh...

Though he gives a rather strong impression, he is very sweet, and thinks he's a lap dog. I don't have a picture for that. Wish I did. It would have finished this off quite well.
